thumb_rick-jensen-700-72thumb_lina-croppedLina Koutrakos and Rick Jensen are both award winning, multi talented performers and teachers who have been singing, playing, directing and music directing in the New York City club and cabaret scene for years. 

 

Koutrakos is the recipient of the 2007 MAC (Manhattan Assoc. of Cabarets & Clubs) Award for BEST MAJOR ARTIST -FEMALE, along with that year’s BEST DIRECTOR prize.   Jensen has won several BEST MUSICAL DIRECTOR nods from MAC.  Between them, they are also the recipients of the BACSTAGE BISTRO AWARD, the VILLAGE VOICE AWARD, The LAMBA AWARD. 

 

They teach ongoing Advanced Performance classes for singers in New York City and have  served on the faculty of the O’Neill Cabaret Symposium at the Eugene O’Neill Center in Waterford, CT, The St. Louis Cabaret Conference and The Cabaret Conference at Yale University in addition to facilitating weekend intensives in Chicago, Santa Fe, Washington DC  and Boston.

Lina, along with fellow director Lennie Watts is the co-founder and Master Teacher of New York's premier annual 5-day workshop "Summer in the City" which is in its 8th successful season this July.
